This is only my second critique, so I'm hoping it will turn out alright.

For the vision, I can see that you're trying to portray her attempts at appearing happy, though the eyes are turned down in the corners a bit, a general sign of sadness, It's a good touch.

For originality, it's not particularly original. The design has been used quite a bit, but because of the unique-ness in the dresses, I'll give it a higher rating than if it were a more simple design.

On Technique, you did very well. I love seeing anime-styled work that was made with a traditional medium, especially watercolors. Very nicely done.

As for the impact, nothing immediately catches my eye, and it isn't particularly emotional for me, personally. I'm unsure if this means something more than you gave away to you, but for me, it means nothing. Nevertheless, the general emotion in the picture is apparent. It just doesn't hit me like some other work I've seen.

The only thing I could think you might want to improve on is the color consistency. Near the top of the page, there are several white spots and on the bust of the dress, one side is a darker color than the other, but it's not meant to be in shadow. This could have been intentional, I don't know, but it's just something that I saw.

Amazing work, please keep it up. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt=":)" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=":) (Smile)"/>
